March in Review

3/1 was a good day. I went to the gym and went on a walk outside. I got photos off my phone. I posted my blogs. I did a client check in. I had a doula interview (and was hired)! We took AJ to a park he hasn't been to before. We went to The Pie for dinner afterward. It was just a normal evening at home. I did bath and bed time.

3/2 I woke up with a shiner because I bumped my eye on my dresser in the middle of the night while sleep walking. AJ and I went on a walk to the park. I donated plasma and picked up my birthday popcorn. We went to my grandma's house and had a time pressured evening at home.

3/3 I woke up feeling like I got no sleep at all so I skipped my workout. Work was really busy in the morning. It was a pretty normal day where I picked AJ up and did all our normal evening things at home. Matthew and I watched Lost.

3/4 I got up at 5 to deadlift. Apparently AJ woke up at 5:30, which is fine in the context of DST, but he went to bed so late the night before. Work was quiet. I picked up AJ, and he had a rough evening after no nap. Matthew also was struggling. We put AJ down early, and I met my friend Mariah at Waffle Love to use my birthday freebie. I also stopped at Smith's after.

3/5 I got up at 5 to bench press. Work was pretty quiet again. I picked up AJ. We had rainy traffic on the way home. I picked up books and chatted with my neighbor. Matthew made chili. I did bath and bed time.

3/6 I got up at 5 for squats. Work was quiet. I ordered a custom tote bag with a Ted Lasso theme. I also created some posts for Instagram. I picked up AJ and dropped off books to my Doula Client. I picked up cat food. Matthew heated up our dinner. I made brownies from scratch.

3/7 I was up about six to walk. I did a half day at work where I worked on ESL stuff. I got my free nuggets from Chick-fil-A for lunch and donated plasma. I did one load of laundry and started the cleaning before I went to pick up AJ to take him to his burn appointment. We did grocery shopping after his appointment. It was a pretty normal evening at home.

3/8 I woke up about seven and went to the gym to lift with Emmy. I made a shake and did some cleaning. I did lots of laundry and cleaned the couch. I took AJ to Zurcher's, Trader Joe's, and Costco. It was a beautiful sunny day. AJ fell asleep in the car on the way home. We went to Chubbys for dinner as a family. I took AJ outside for a little bit, but it was windy and cold. I face timed my dad for a little bit.

3/9 I woke up about 730 after the time change. I went on a quick walk before getting ready to go to brunch with Rachel. After brunch I donated Plasma and got Dutch Bros. I spent lots of time outside with AJ. I did some lunch prep, Marco Polo friends, and listened to my audiobook. Matthew got pizza for us for dinner, and I had to be done eating by seven so I could get fasted blood work done on Monday morning. The good news on this day was that AJ fell right to sleep after Matthew put him down!

Just enjoying the warm weather

3/10 I got up at 6 to walk. I spilled my almond milk all over the stove before I made my shake. I went to get blood work done and went to the wrong building at first. Work was busy. I picked up AJ and Matthew took him outside. After I ate dinner I swapped Matthew for him to come eat while I was with AJ outside. We went back outside later when we saw AJ's little neighbor friend passed by on the sidewalk. It was a normal evening at home.

3/11 I slept in again. Work was fine. I planned AJ's birthday party and also met with a finance counselor while I was at work. It was incredibly helpful. I picked up AJ and prepped lunch. I made his dinner. I did his bath and Duolingo. I baked banana muffins and did bedtime.

3/15 I woke up and did lots of laundry. I went to the gym without my trainer since she was not feeling well. I did lots of dishes, made a shake, took a shower, and put away clothes. I took AJ outside for a while. I cleaned the floors. We went to dinner at Yings. It was a normal evening at home.

3/16 I slept in a little bit and did Duolingo. I showered and went to the Bean yard with Natalie. I went for a short walk in the wind. I donated Plasma and picked up Dutch Bros after. I worked on AJ's photo book for him turning three. We went to Costco and had dinner. It was a normal evening. I finished the Ruby Franke documentary.

3/17 was a pretty decent Monday. I struggled to wake up so I just walked on the treadmill. Work was pretty low-key except that a glass shelf in our mini fridge exploded so we had a mess to clean up. There were cupcakes at work as well. Otherwise just a pretty quiet day. I picked up AJ and we had a normal evening at home.

3/18 I woke up at 5 to dead lift. I had to go get some blood work redone. Work was pretty quiet. I was able to get a couple other financial things checked off which is nice. I picked up AJ. We had leftovers for dinner. It was a pretty normal evening at home with an earlier bedtime since the boy did not have a nap.

3/19 I woke up at 5 to bench press. Work was busy with an HR pop-up booth, a credit score workshop, and ESL meeting, etc. I picked up AJ, and we got dinner together at Mooyah as a family. It was a normal evening at home.

3/20 I woke up at 5 to squat. We had another HR pop-up at work. We got lunch as a team at HuHot. I did some job hunting for Matthew. I picked up AJ. I started the cleaning and laundry so my Friday would be easier. I did bath time and Duolingo, and tidied while Matthew did bedtime.

3/21 I got up at 6 to walk. Work was pretty low-key. I donated plasma, grabbed some food, ate, and started watching Wicked. I did laundry and finished the cleaning. I got groceries, went to Dollar tree, picked up AJ, and picked up dinner at Little Caesars. We ate and watched Wicked. I played with AJ outside. We had a couple of mishaps that evening, like him spilling a lot of water on the floor and peeing a little bit on the floor. I did bath and bedtime since Matthew was working.

3/22 I woke up about 6:40 with AJ already awake and talking in his crib. I started laundry, went to the gym for training with my coach, and showered and got ready. AJ and I went to Chubby Baker and Wal-mart. He had a nap while I did a couple of things at the computer. I woke him up and fed him snacks then took him to my former student's house for her daughter's birthday party. I got Starbucks on the way home. We watched Wall-E. I fed AJ and put on a show for him. I did his bath which he poured his milk into. I got ready for bed and did my best to check all of my evening boxes off.

Just a normal scene

3/24 I woke up at 5 to dead lift. Work was pretty slow, but we found some things to do. I budgeted. I figured out where to park for the hockey game that evening. I picked up AJ and scrambled to change and get ready. Mom and Grandma were a little bit late. I drove us downtown for the hockey game. It was a lot of fun. The Red Wings won. I got home about 10.

3/25 I was up at six to walk. Work was pretty slow again. I picked up AJ and brought him home. I went to Archibald's for a Yelp event which was fun. I did bath and bedtime.

3/27 I tried to get up at five but had a really rough night with coughing and sweating, so I went back to sleep. Work was pretty quiet. I picked up AJ and then drove by a home I saw for rent on KSL that is pretty close to our condo. I looked at lots of rentals online. My hope is that we can rent out our condo to establish rental income so we can buy a home. I made dinner. We got ice cream at Blue Moo. We watched Wild Robot. I did bedtime.

3/28 I woke up to walk. Work was busy. I donated plasma, got lunch, ate, and started laundry and cleaning. I got groceries and picked up AJ. Matthew made fried rice. He and I both made rice pudding (he started it; I finished it). I did bath, and Matthew did bedtime. We watched Lost.

3/31 I got up at 5 to deadlift (and bench). Work was good--not too busy. I got some things done but also was able to list out some of the "to dos" of moving out. I picked up AJ from daycare. It was a normal evening at home, but we didn't put on any movies for AJ so had to walk through a lot of regulating and managing his busyness.
