Good Surgery. Aside from some surprising and disheartening news, my surgery went OK, and recovery has gone really well. It's easy for me to overdo it when I feel pretty darn good, though. My work sent me flowers. My friend Natalie came to hang out with me. I was able to get a few annoying things done--like washing our comforter. I finished a book. The dreaded gas pain in the shoulder really wasn't too bad; it mostly felt like some shoulder tension like I needed a massage. Butterflies. The last two years I've wanted to buy the caterpillar cup at the farmer's market. We finally did it this year. It is bringing me so much childlike joy and excitement. AJ ran in to my room on May 20 saying, "Mom! Mom! There are two more butterflies!!!!" I love that he's excited about it. That's why I bought them. Lantern festival. It was an ordeal to drive out to Grantsville/Tooele two nights in a row. But I'm grateful we had people to watch AJ. And the lanterns were...
