March in Review

3/1 I woke up about 7am and snuggled AJ on the couch for a few minutes. Matthew took AJ to Home Depot while I did some packing (AJ's books and toys) and loaded things in my car. Matthew brought back lunch and my birthday Dutch Bros. I went to the new house and unloaded some things. I came back to the house, and we loaded more stuff and went to the new house as a family. I had to get home by 5 to set out a ceiling fan we are giving away. Matthew made dinner.

3/2 I went to the gym. Work was pretty quiet. I picked up AJ and brought him home. We ate dinner. I did bath, and Matthew finished bed time. I got my birthday Waffle Love. We watched Scrubs. We didn't take anything to the new house due to the rain. Matthew wasn't feeling great and was battling a stuffy nose.

3/3 I had a rough morning. I woke up not feeling well. I fell off my treadmill, and the screw came out that attaches the bottom to the side rails. When I opened the drawer to find a tool to fix it, the entire drawer fell down, spilling contents everywhere. My hair dryer stopped working (again). My cat puked on the kitchen floor, and as I went to clean it up, I stepped in a smaller separate puddle that I hadn't seen, dirtying my socks. Rough start, guys. It was a somewhat busy day at work with class setup, 1:1, and a long LMS meeting. After work I picked up AJ and went to Walmart for prescriptions. I made dinner. I took some stuff over to the house. Matthew and I both were not feeling well; I sneezed all day.

3/4 I was up early for the gym even though I struggled to fall asleep the night before. Aside from popcorn day, work was super quiet. No meetings, and lots of people out of office. All of this was helpful since I didn't feel well. I picked up AJ from daycare and met Matthew at Itto Sushi. I packed up some boxes and had Matthew take them to the new house. I handled bath and bed time. I went to bed at 9:30 since I was feeling awful.

3/5 I got up, made AJ breakfast, and walked on the treadmill. I packed some boxes in the morning. Work was OK--sat it in on an UltraLead class and had an afternoon meeting. I picked up AJ and picked up pizza. We ate. Matthew and I packed the kitchen. I packed AJ's toys, and most of the rest of the bathroom aside from AJ's toys, toothbrushes, makeup, and immediate use. Plus I packed my shoes. Matthew did bed time.

3/6 I was up early for the gym. I loaded up my drawers in my car. I went to Alta View for my allergy test appointment where I was able to work remotely. After working a half day I picked up our Oreo dessert box from The Chocolate! I took my dresser drawers to the new house. I then went to Sandy, loaded up, and unloaded at the new house. And I did a final trip loading and unloading. I went to pick up AJ.

3/7 was a chaotic day. We scrambled to pack some final things like the mattresses in mattress bags, bed frames, AJ's crib, etc. We picked up the U-Haul and I grabbed McDonald's. Some neighbors and ward members helped load the moving truck. It felt stressful as a lot of kids came with their dads and dragged a lot of my things on the floor and ground and moving truck floor. Plus my social butterfly was just constantly in the way. We unloaded at the new house around 11:30 with more help from the new neighbors and ward members. I worked really hard to get AJ's room put together. Matthew finished his bed, and I did all his books and toys and arrangement. It looks great. About 6:30 we went back to Sandy to pack up our fridge and freezer. I spent the rest of the evening unpacking. Matthew got us Raising Cane's for dinner. We did bath and bed time for a very tired AJ.

3/8 Matthew and I went to bed at 1am. I woke up at 7:44am and realized I had lost an hour of sleep--such a bummer. We went to First Watch for breakfast and went to the Sandy house to clean up. Sweet AJ had some hard moments but mostly did so well occupying himself as we had SO much to do in that house. I loaded a bunch of stuff and finally took AJ back to the house at 2:30, and my mom came to watch him. I unloaded stuff and went back to Sandy to help Matthew finish. At 4 our landlord's daughter came, and our landlord sent back our deposit minus $100 for a leaf blower and weed whacker. I went home and continued unpacking. Matthew went to Costco for dog food and dinner stuff. We had orange chicken, veggies, and instant rice for dinner. Matthew finished up bath time and bed time while I got ready for Monday.

3/9 I did a 20 minute walk before work; I just couldn't make myself lift after the weekend we had and losing an hour of sleep. It was hard enough getting up at 5:55. I had new hire orientation at work which went really well, thankfully. I picked up AJ, and we we went to Smith's for groceries which took longer than expected due to an unfamiliar store. Matthew made us dinner. I set up the TV and blu-ray for AJ since we still don't have Internet. I called Comcast, and they have to come out to activate our line, which I feel they should do for free. I was again up way too late.

3/10 I woke up at 4:40 to go to the gym. Work was fairly busy--had a couple of classes to set up and clean up, a 1:1, a meeting, and some things to catch up on. I picked up AJ and took him home where he had a very hard time for a while as I tried to make dinner. Matthew mounted the TVs and fixed the fridge water line. I hung up a few pictures mostly upstairs and moved some things downstairs just to get a little organized and have access to my bookshelves and treadmill. I took boxes outside.

3/11 I slept in, once again feeling incredibly wiped out. Work wasn't too busy other than a meeting and handling popcorn. I left early, got Thirst, and picked up AJ from daycare to go home and meet the Comcast technician. He wired our house and set up our Internet. I got the Blink and Wyze cameras set up, Alexa plugged in, and our deadbolt connected to WiFi. I also organized AJ's baby clothes into some totes and moved things around in our storage shed, putting unneeded things at the back and holiday stuff and seasonal clothes toward the front. This took a long time, and I was able to eliminate a lot of boxes, get totes out of the living room, and free up some storage space. I also was able to eliminate two boxes of bathroom stuff and did some more organizing in the hall closet. Matthew made dinner. He installed the water filter under the sink. We moved a bookshelf downstairs. I prepped some lunch veggies. We did bed time.

3/12 I got up at 4:35 for the gym with my coach. Work was pretty calm--two meetings with my manager. I picked up AJ and picked up pizza. I took apart our dining table to sell it. I cleaned the floors in AJ's room, the hallway, and the living room. I put down our rug in the living room, and I think it's much too big. I also finished unpacking most boxes in my bedroom, organizing my bathroom stuff.

3/13 I woke up about 6 to walk on the treadmill. I worked a half day - couple of meetings and LEGO assembly and things. I went to Riverton to pick up some barstools. It was an ordeal; we had to disconnect the seats from the legs to fit them in my car, but we made it work. I cleaned my bookshelves and did a coat of paint on them. I broke down boxes, listed items for sale, finished unpacking my room, and picked up AJ. We got Simply Sushi for dinner, and went to Smith's. I hung up our pictures in the master, and my method didn't work because the ceiling in our room slopes along the same grade as the roof, which I didn't notice until all my pictures weren't level. I put AJ to bed because Matthew was catering. I cleaned the floors upstairs. Busy, busy day.

3/14 I was up at 7. I went to the gym and stopped at Dutch Bros. I painted another layer on my bookshelves. I talked to my brother. I sold my rug and moving blankets and gave away our moving boxes. I installed the deadbolt and keypad on the back door. I hung up my bedroom mirror. I finally showered, very late in the day. I connected to our outside permanent lighting, finally. AJ and I met our neighbor Lois. She's great. AJ and I went to Ding Tea. We ate. Matthew did bath and bed time. We watched Marshals but were disappointed as it feels like a police procedural, not like Yellowstone.

3/15 We went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We went to Walmart as a family. I did another layer of paint on my bookshelves. We unpacked the basement. I cleaned the couch and rearranged downstairs. I listed my weight bench for sale on KSL and marketplace. I put away our China and cleaned floors downstairs. I did laundry. Matthew made dinner. That evening we went to Frostea as a family for boba tea. I walked on the treadmill.

3/16 I got no sleep due to a few factors, including AJ coughing all night. I did not get up to walk--just took walks at work. It was a busy workday with my manager being out on maternity leave. After work I got AJ and went to pick up a rug pad in South Jordan. There was a road closure on Redwood that drove traffic into our neighborhood, so getting home was a little challenging. I was able to do a tiny bit of painting on the shelves outside. I had some family challenges come up--issues I unwittingly caused. So that was emotional and stressful. I painted my shelves again.

3/17 I was up a couple times during the night to check on AJ who was coughing and sleep talking all night. I went to the gym. AJ had a fever so Matthew stayed home. I had a team build event I supported. I came home early so Matthew could go to work for a few hours, but traffic was too bad so he came home. I painted another layer on the bookshelves outside. Matthew made dinner. It was a normal evening with bath and bed time.

3/18 I woke up and walked a little bit on the treadmill. AJ had a fever still, so I stayed home. It was an easy workday--just had a virtual class to support that wasn't too tech heavy. I worked on translation stuff that needed done. I finished painting the bookshelves. They prob could use another coat, but I am so tired of painting. I made some basic dinner. AJ asked to go to bed early but had a lot of fever dreams, poor guy. I picked up some soft serve from Frostea, and we started watching Song Sung Blue. Our lounge chairs and breakfast nook arrived.

3/19 I was up early for the gym. We tried to take AJ to daycare as Matthew and I had both already missed work for his illness. Thankfully he felt better and had a good day. I picked him up and took him to Ding Tea. I sprayed my bookshelves with gloss. I sanded my mini table that I'm going to put in my hallway. I made him dinner but not myself since I was still full from lunch with my team at Buffalo Wild Wings. I got AJ in the bath. I started the second half of season 7 of Outlander on Starz.

3/20 I got up at 6 and walked on the treadmill. After work I went to get a tire rotation and got sushi for lunch. I got groceries at Smith's and went home. I spray painted the small table and did a load of laundry. I picked up AJ and went to Home Depot to get paint for my tabletop. We went to Zurcher's and Trader Joe's. Then we went home. We ate dinner at Leatherby's. Matthew left at bed time to go do his sleep titration in Lehi. I brought my bookshelves inside to downstairs.

3/21 I brought the small table in the house. I went to the gym. I put most of the books on my bookshelves, cleaned up boxes outside, and loaded donation books into my car. I showered, and we put the breakfast nook together! We went to In-N-Out as a family. After bed time we finished watching Song Sung Blue.

3/22 felt busy. I woke up, made breakfast, cleaned up, showered, got ready, and we walked to church. I tidied and put things away. I went to Kearns to pick up local eggs, then got Ding Tea and a car wash. Rachel came over. I found some plastic drawers for the office and went to pick them up. We had a camp fire in the backyard with s'mores. Matthew made dinner. I did bath, and we did bed time. We watched Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

3/23 I didn't sleep enough so I gave myself more time and walked on the treadmill before work. Work was busy with new hire orientation. I also did some party planning for AJ. We stopped at DI for a donation drop. I set up the new rug in the living room. I made dinner and went to Moki's to find out they don't have malasadas anymore. AJ had a very hard evening.

3/24 I was up early for the gym. It was a hard day emotionally and physically. I was tired and still coughing a lot and just wanted to be home, but it was a pretty busy workday. I got AJ and picked up a used Keurig from Marketplacce. I picked up Papa John's, and AJ fell asleep. He had another really hard evening. We did a fire. I did bath time, and Matthew finished out bed time.

3/25 I didn't get up to walk but did a couple walks at work. We had a potluck. It was also popcorn day. I picked up AJ and went to Walmart for some prescriptions. We walked around a bit. I got home and realized my keys had fallen off my keychain at Walmart, so I had to go back and get them. We did hot dogs in the firepit. I got AJ ready for bed. Matthew worked on the guest room and on unpacking some things downstairs. We put the rug under our bed.

3/26 I was up early for the gym. Work was fairly busy. I covered the reception desk across the street for a little bit. I cleaned up ESL and another class. I picked up AJ, stopped at the bank, and went home. My mom was there to help with AJ so Matthew and I could put together a bookshelf. I was able to empty four more boxes. Since mom gave AJ a bath, we did bed time and watched Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

3/27 I was up early for the gym again. I benched a rep at 135 for RPE 8, and deadlifted a rep 282 for RPE 8. I had a Galaxy meeting at work. After work I was busy. I went to Sam's Club, Smith's, and Dollar Tree. I started laundry. I picked up a new (used) cell phone from a KSL seller since my battery is basically shot. My phone is also several years old, and only has 64GB, which is half taken up by iOS and system data.

3/28 I was up and just felt like I was running around the whole day just doing stuff. I went for a run and a walk. I hung up my certificates in the office and unpacked the last box in the office. We made crockpot meatballs. I did some laundry. I made cucumber strawberry water. I cleaned our bathroom counter and toilet area, cleared off the counter, tidied AJ's room, etc. I finally showered about 12:30 and was ready by 1:00. I started washing and getting the food ready. I wish I had taken photos, but people started arriving before I had the chance to take any. I did a couple of veggie trays and ranch, crackers and cheese cubes, fruit trays, set out chips and salsa, and set out the Two Bite Brownies. We had a decent amount of people come, though not the amount I expected. I am so grateful for those who took the time out of their Saturdays to come see our home and/or bring or send a gift. It was fun to see those who came. Afterward I cleaned up. Matthew went to Lowe's with AJ, and I went to Ding Tea and Schmidt's. Then I had to go to Frostea to get AJ boba because he saw mine. We did bed time.

3/29 we woke up about 7. I did more laundry. We went to breakfast at Virg's. We hung up AJ's stuffy net. We hung up Max's hammock. We went on a family walk. I put together the bathroom cabinet and got everything ready for Matthew to hang it up. I organized our utility drawer and tossed some stuff. We got gas at Smith's. I took AJ with me to Walmart for prescriptions, and we got Dutch Bros after. I put down Max's scratch mat. We hung up the cabinet, and I put it all back in there. I put away my clothes and AJ's clothes. We had a camp fire. I got my vitamins and lunch ready.

3/30 I was up early for the gym. Work was quiet but still did some things. I picked up AJ and took him home. We had a Harmon's meal deal for dinner. I had an HOA Board meeting that went from 5:45 until 8:00!!!! Ridiculous. I care, but where are the boundaries? We can continue the conversation another time. Matthew handled the entire evening with AJ. I helped with bed time. We started watching The Whale.

3/31 I got up about 6am and took a quick walk around my neighborhood. Work was fairly quiet. Just a meeting or two. I was able to transfer over to my new (used) phone. So excited for a better battery and 4x the storage space! I also listed my old phone for sale. I picked up AJ. We had chicken chili for dinner that my mom brought on Saturday. AJ had a rough evening. I put together my shower stool and mounted the paper towel holder. We did bath and bed time.
