July in Review
July 1 I missed my alarm for a morning walk. We went to lunch as a team. I worked on ESL lesson plans. I got home early, tidied, did a load of laundry, picked up AJ, and stopped at Harmon's. I fed AJ and had the neighbors over to show them how to take care of Max. Matthew did bed and bath time while I packed for myself and AJ.
July 2 I went to the gym and went to work. I worked until 3pm--popcorn day. I came home and finished packing and getting ready. We left at 5:00 to get AJ, then hit traffic going south. We stopped in Fillmore for dinner at Krispy Krunchy Chicken. We stayed there longer than I'd have liked. We got to Mesquite at about 11pm Utah time, which stunk. AJ was an absolute mess--totally incoherent and uncooperative.
July 3 We ate breakfast at the buffet at Virgin River and were really happy with it! We drove from Mesquite to Glendora with a stop in Baker. AJ took a super long car nap since he didn't sleep all night. We got to Glendora around 2pm. We went to dinner at Chopsticks House in San Dimas, then went to Trader Joe's for a few groceries. I did bath, and Matthew did bed time while I took a lovely walk.
July 4 I went to the gym. We went to Jason and Kellie's place in La Verne to watch their 4th of July parade. We got some lunch and hung out at home for a while. We went back to Jason and Kellie's around 4pm and hung out loving on my nephew. AJ played at the playground across the street. We ate some good food - ceviche, pasta salad, BBQ chicken sandwiches, salad, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and more. We almost made it to fireworks, but AJ was tapped out. We probably should've just pushed him because the fireworks started literally 3 minutes after we drove away.
July 5 I woke up and chatted with my dad for a little while. I went to the gym, got gas, and got Starbs. It was a pretty low key day. My dad had a party up in Hesperia to go to. We went to Show Sushi for dinner, and it was unexpectedly all you can eat, which wasn't really what we wanted to do. I got boba after, and we went to Smart & Final to get a few groceries.
July 6 I was up early to go on a walk. We went to Crystal Cove beach and touched lots of anemones and saw lots of crabs. AJ had an absolute blast and took a car nap. We got there about 9 and left at about 1:30. We got cleaned up and went to BJ's for dinner. We hung out in the backyard and did laundry.
July 7 We left California at 8am (local time). We stopped quickly in Baker, Mesquite, (Leeds, after hitting a tire shred), and Beaver. AJ took an awesome car nap. We made it to the house by 6:38pm (Utah time), so we did the whole drive in 9.5 hours, which is an absolute feat with a 3 year old. Matthew went to pick up dinner while I unpacked and started getting us ready for the week. We put AJ down late since his schedule was all off from California.
July 8 I was up early to go to the gym. Work actually was very busy. I picked up AJ, and we went to Smith's to restock our food. I made his dinner and prepped lunches for the next day but didn't eat dinner myself. Matthew was gone picking up his dog from his friend Utah county. My mom and grandma came over about 8pm to pick up and drop off some things and say hi. AJ was very excited to have his GG over and needed to show her all the things. I did bath time, and Matthew did bed time (late, due to grandmas being there).
July 9 I was up early to go to the gym. Work was good--popcorn day. I left work early for an appointment at Vitalize Hormone & Wellness. I'm still mulling that over. Since that appointment was fast, I went to Home Depot for a tomato cage (for my cucumbers), and some marigolds. I went to Trader Joe's and Fiiz. I picked up AJ and stopped at the vet to get Max some cat food. I put AJ's dinner together and prepped his breakfast and my lunch for the next day. We spent some time in the backyard. Matthew did AJ's bath. I did bed time. We watched 1923. I struggled terribly with allergies--stuffy nose and sneezing all day. I started looking into renewing my teaching license.
July 10 I woke up still not feeling great--allergies? I went on a walk and went to work. I picked up AJ and went to Walmart. My Relief Society president brought us dinner--spam musubi. We ate in the backyard. It was much calmer not having to cook and then clean up after. I did bath time, and Matthew did bed time.
July 11 I woke up once again not feeling great. This time I used Flonase and liquid Zyrtec. I did a few minutes of yoga. I trained at the gym with Taylor, then went to get a tire rotation. I went to Smith's for some fill-in groceries to get back on our weekly shopping rhythm. I got home and did a little cleaning, picked up AJ, and headed down to Draper/Riverton to meet Matthew at Chubby's for dinner.
July 12 I woke up and continued cleaning and laundry. I got to the gym for a pretty short workout, since I had dead lifted with Taylor on Friday. I got ready, did more cleaning, and took AJ to Uptown Jungle. Dianne called and invited us to dinner with her and Dan at Dollie's, so that was a fun spur of the moment evening event.
July 13 I went on a quick walk, got ready, and got breakfast with Rachel at Atomic Biscuit. I came home and "puttered"--made lunches for the next day, cleaned vacuum filters, etc. I took AJ to the pool for an hour and a half or so. I cleaned the car seats from our cars, which I should've started in the early morning to let stains sit in blue Dawn. Matthew cooked us dinner using my first (only so far) zucchini. I played "Bakery" with AJ. I had a doula call at 8pm. I reassembled the car seats and did yoga to close my exercise ring. It was too late by the time I got to bed.

July 15 I went on a walk before work. I did tech support for another online class. I picked up AJ. Matthew brought home Costco food court hot dogs for dinner. I was struggling mentally and emotionally, so I checked out on my phone. Matthew did bath time, and we both did bed time.
July 16 I went to the gym. It was popcorn day at work. I picked up AJ and started dinner for him and Matthew. I had a gardening class in the evening up at the U. I wish I could just download her knowledge Matrix-style. I got myself food on the way home.
July 17 I went on a walk in the morning. I went to work and did a few walks there. I picked up AJ and got gas at Sam's Club. We got home and started prepping dinner. We had bbq chicken, corn on the cob, and grilled zucchini. It was really good! I did bath and bed time with AJ.
July 18 I went to the gym and hit some PRs (125 bench, 14 reps at 175lb squats, 4 reps at 205lb deadlifts) and did a half day at work. I went to the district office to get finger printed. We had our appointment with Dr. Stanford, the NaPro provider. We got dinner at Sukiya sushi buffet. I spent some time gardening.
July 19 I went to the gym and had the second part of my gardening class at the instructor's home--super impressive. We went to Firehouse Subs for lunch as a family. We stopped at Trader Joe's. I did dishes and cleaned the sink and floors. I took AJ to the library. We went to Costco for pizza and soft serve. We did bath and bed time.

July 20 I got up about 6:30 and did Duo Lingo while walking. I researched fall harvest crops and planting dates. I did a client check in. I repotted two plants and my orchid. I went to Harmon's and Dutch Bros. I took AJ to the pool where he fell and scraped his knee. I watched some of the Way Way Back. I met with Kelsey on Zoom to go over some side job duties. I prepped lunch and vitamins. I put my workouts into Trainerize. Mom came over while I met with Kelsey. We ate. I did bath, and we did bed time. AJ peed all over the bathroom floor at some point, which made me more upset than it should've.
July 21 I woke up naturally at 5:20 and did Core de Force. I went to my biopsy, which went OK, with just some cramping on the way to work. I did new hire orientation all day. I picked up AJ. We collected tomatoes. I cleared the robo vacs, did the litter box, did dishes, and did bath and bed time, then more dishes. Why are there always dishes?
July 22 I went to the gym. Work was busy. I picked up AJ. We went to Itto Sushi and Cold Stone. I did bath, and Matthew did bed time. I had a doula call.
July 23 I went to the gym. Work was busy. I picked up AJ. We picked tomatoes and had a campfire with s'mores. We watched Andor.
July 24 I did a Core de Force workout DVD. We got ready and took AJ to daycare. We then had a day date! We went to the movies to see Superman (so good!). We went to lunch at Bambino Pizza, and walked around downtown Midvale a little bit. We went home for a little while. And then we went to Daiso for the first time. We picked up AJ, got drinks at Dutch Bros, and went home. I made banana bread and checked my garden. We ate dinner and did another campfire with s'mores before doing bath and bed time. We watched Andor.
July 25 I did a short walk and went to work for a half day. I went home to do laundry and to eat something. I called my doula client and went to the gym to train with Taylor. I went home to do more laundry and cleaning. I went to get blood work for my thyroid. I went to Cottonwood High to get a signature on my licensure renewal form, but it was closed off. I got groceries and picked up AJ. I got him some snacks, did more cleaning and dishes. We picked tomatoes. Matthew made salad and did a backyard fire with hot dogs and marshmallows. I did bath and bed time, covered the couches, and put away laundry.
July 26 I was up around 7:40 and went to the gym. I made a smoothie, did laundry, and cleaned. I did some work for Fitbliss. I rinsed and we went to the pool as a family. We got Dutch and acme home. We got dinner at Maria's Mexican food and dessert at Sweetaly Gelato--so good. Matthew did bath. We did bed time and watched Andor. It just was a really good day, honestly.
July 27 I slept in and took AJ on a walk. We tried and failed to get breakfast at a couple different places, but didn't plan well enough, so we ended up at Paris Baguette. I did dishes and some Fitbliss work. I played with AJ and put him down for a nap. I made lunches and did my vitamins. I dug up the front area and planted flower seeds and dug up the back and tried squash again. I picked tomatoes and cucumbers. I listened to an audiobook all day and did Duo. We did bath and bed time together.
July 28 I went to the gym. I worked until 1:20 then left to grab my stuff and head to the U for my doula client. We worked through some discomfort, and we requested to switch nurses at one point.
July 29 I was basically up all night as they changed my client's positions due to her epidural. It was a long day with a lot of ups and downs, and things didn't end how we expected they might. I left when she went back for her C section. I got home a little after 7, and my mom brought us In N Out. I did bath and Matthew did bed time. I did yoga to close my move ring.
July 30 I could not get up for the gym, so I walked at work. I did popcorn at work. I picked up AJ, did his dinner, and worked in the garden. I ate and called Farmer's Insurance due to a bill I got. I went to the U to see my client and her baby. I got McD's for me and Matthew. I was up late talking with him.
July 31 I didn't hear my alarm but thankfully woke up in time to not be late. I walked once again. I picked up AJ and got Little Caesar's. Matthew and I met for gas (we share fuel points). I ate, tidied, and did gardening. Matthew's cousin Jim came by. I did bath and bed time and went on a walk.
