October in Review
10/1 I didn't feel like getting up so I just did some walks at work. I picked up AJ. I ate real quick then left to get Ruby Snap before book club. I went to book club where we talked about the Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle and painted little mini unicorns.
10/2 I woke up before work to walk. It was a busy half day at work with some last minute things that needed changing. I got groceries and did some cleaning. I got stopped on my way to get AJ by an AT&T Fiber sales girl. She took up 30 minutes of my time but hopefully saved me $420 in the next year. I got AJ and took him to Cornbelly's. Matthew met us there for the last little bit. We got home, did bed time, and finished watching Sinners.
10/3 I took AJ to the gym with me. I chatted with my brother and SIL for a bit. I showered and got ready. We went to Jacque's store for the library grand opening. I stopped at Sidecar then went to Rachel's library grand opening in Park City. We got home around 3pm, and AJ was so excited for a new Derpy Kitty stuffy from his aunt and uncle. We went to Spirit Halloween, ate dinner, and went on a family walk.
10/4 We did an autumn canyon drive early in the morning, then went to First Watch after. Matthew went to open houses. AJ and I hung out at home and took a nap together. I walked on the treadmill and watched a show. Matthew made us burgers. We watched Coraline. I did bath and bed time.
10/5 I got up early for the gym. I had new hire orientation which went well. I picked up AJ. We did some Miss Debbie's activities and made homemade pizza. After bed time, we watched The Testaments.
10/6 I slept in. Work was pretty quiet. Matthew picked up AJ so I could do Amazon deliveries, but I got there at 5:38 and missed my block, so I drove 40 minutes and wasted gas for nothing. I did some preparation for my IVF meeting on 10/7. I got home then went to the park to meet Matthew and AJ there. I did bath, and we did bed time. We finished watching The Testaments.
10/7 I was up early for the gym. I had an online new patient appointment with the Reproductive Care Center which was pretty straightforward. I left work early to get ready for family photos in the canyon. I got ready. Matthew picked up AJ. We met with Ali up Little Cottonwood Canyon and did our photos. Then we went to Chili's for a late dinner. We did bed time and watched Ted Lasso.
10/8 I got up early to walk before work. Work wasn't crazy. Thankfully Matthew took on a big load where he dropped off AJ, dropped off Max at the vet, and then picked up a foldable wagon in Pleasant Grove that I found on Marketplace. Then he did all the pickup (AJ, Max) so I could do an Amazon shift. I didn't get a route. We did Ms. Debbie's and bed time. Matthew also got me 48 roses from Costco for our anniversary.
10/9 I ran a mile and walked before work. I had a mini orientation with some of our holding company employees. I went to Smith's. I went to the pharmacy and stopped to pick up a gift card for our daycare lady. We went to Cornbelly's from 3:30-5:45, where AJ got his face painted. I had Witchy Book Club for Witches of Dubious Origin but it was just me and the book club leader, so kind of a bummer. We watched Lioness.
10/10 was our anniversary. I got up early and went to the gym so I could get back for our fiber internet installation and for Matthew to go to the kitchen. AJ was being absolutely WILD with the internet guys there. Before that, we made some sugar cookie dough. After his nap, we rolled, cut, and baked the dough. He and I went to the Dollar Tree, picked up a Delonghi espresso machine from Kearns, drove by my old school, got dinner at Teriyaki Grill, went to Petco, and got Leatherby's. It was a rough parenting day for me. I did bed time.
10/11 I walked on the treadmill, rinsed off, and got coffee with Rachel at Guayoyo. I got home so Matthew could go to open houses. I ordered a photo canvas, listed things on Facebook marketplace, plus put clothes away. Matthew did some random projects like cleaning his car windshield and melted sticky mat. Jim came to watch AJ, and Matthew and I went to dinner at Matteo Italian restaurant downtown. It was super yummy. We did bath and bed time.

10/12 I got up for a quick walk. I got blood work done. I had orientation at work which is always a long day. I got AJ from daycare. We ate dinner and did Ms. Debbie's activities. Matthew took AJ to Spirit Halloween. I got Nothing Bundt Cakes. I switched back over to my car and parked my mom's car. We watched Lioness after bed time.
10/13 I lifted weights, went to Sidecar Doughnuts, and had my ENT appointment at the U. Work was quiet. I worked on our holiday cards, tricky since Walmart's prices have gone up a ton ($70 for 100 cards last year. This year 80 cards are $102). I picked up AJ and did Ms. Debbie's with him. Matthew did bath time. After bed time we watched Lioness.
10/14 I did cardio before work. I had a quiet workday other than making popcorn. I got AJ, grabbed food, and went to the Amazon warehouse. I did get a route all the way in Roy and Clearfield, which ended 43 minutes from home. I was very bothered about it. I got home and helped with bed time. We watched Lioness.
10/15 I was up early for the gym. Work was fun because it was our day of service at Tiny Tim's. I drove to drop off my mom's car. We went to Cornbelly's where I ran into Rachel and her sister Cara and her family. So fun to see them. We took my cousin Josh home and got AJ home and into bed by 9pm.

10/16 I slept in and worked a half day. I went to Smith's. We cleaned. We picked up AJ and went to Violet's play Beetlejuice. We did bath and bed time. AJ kept repeating the F word a lot on this day.
10/17 I went to the gym. After I got ready, I took AJ to The Other Side Donuts, and then the Salt Lake Book Festival. I drove through Raw Bean on the way home (the coffee shops at the book fest didn't have anything for me), and got a holiday drink that was intolerably sweet. AJ and I played hide and seek. Around 6 I drove to Orem for the Allowed to Birth documentary at Megaplex and stayed for the Q&A with the midwife and filmmaker. It was really cool.
10/18 AJ let us sleep in for once. I took him to Paris Baguette, Savers, and then got Dutch Bros (since my Paris Baguette drink was also too sweet). I spent a little time in the garden and jumping on the trampoline with AJ. We went on a walk to the park close to our house. We came home, and I made him lunch. He and Matthew napped while I made banana pumpkin bread. It came out OK, not my favorite. After nap I took AJ to Grandpa's Pond. I picked up Mo Bettahs for us for dinner. We did bath and bed time and watched Lioness.
10/19 I slept in and did a walk before work, and a couple of walks at work. Work was quiet. We went to Mabey's pumpkin patch as a family. We finished watching Hocus Pocus. We had a normal evening with dinner and bed time.
10/20 I was up early for the gym. I had a meeting and a training workshop at work. Matthew picked up AJ early as another child at daycare was sick. We had dinner and a normal evening. I took care of bath time, and Matthew took AJ on a neighborhood drive. We watched Lioness.
10/21 I was up early to walk and wash my hair. Work was quiet, but I got lunch with my manager. I picked up AJ for a normal evening at home. I took AJ on a Halloween walk while Matthew tried to install a new kitchen faucet for me.
10/22 I was up early for the gym. We had a few meetings at work, and I covered the front desk for a little bit. I delivered for Amazon all the way out in Magna and Tooele. I was so mad. I said goodnight to AJ. Matthew and I watched Vision.
10/23 I worked a half day that was actually very busy. I got groceries. Matthew and I cleaned. We got AJ and got dinner at In N Out. We went to the Windermere Halloween party in Daybreak, but we didn't have AJ dress up. I guess we should know that any Halloween event where kids are welcome, we need costumes. After that we got Blacksmith Ice Cream. We did bed time and watched Vision.
10/24 I went to the gym. After I got ready, I took AJ down to Cornbelly's where we stayed for around four hours before heading home. This may have been the last time he rode on my lap down the big slides. We started to watch The Labyrinth for AJ's first time. I picked up Little Caes. Matthew worked on his car while I gave AJ a bath.
10/25 I had a slow morning with AJ. We finished Labyrinth. I went and got a couple donuts at Sidecar. I took AJ on a walk to the park, and he rode his scooter the whole way there. I was really proud of him. He had many moments of frustration but kept getting back up. I went to the theater to see Practical Magic 2. The full moon was awesome this evening. After bed time we watched Lioness.
10/26 I was up early for the gym. I had new hire orientation which always wipes me out. I picked up AJ. We had dinner at home. AJ rode his scooter outside, which makes me so happy. I did dishes and prepped my lunch. We did bed time and watched Lioness.
10/27 I got up early to walk. Work was quiet. I had my saline sonogram and some blood work done at Reproductive Care Center in Sandy. I picked up AJ, and I made pumpkin cookies. I started the chili for work, and I made Jiffy Corn muffins. I helped AJ with Ms. Debbie's and did bed time.
10/28 I was up early for the gym. Work was fun with our HR Halloween party; I won the trivia game by 1 point! I picked up AJ. We hit a ton of traffic trying to meet Matthew for gas (using fuel points). We got home; I heated up lobster cakes and ate real quick. I went to book club at The Conjuring Tree which was so cute. I chose the book title, and sadly only two ladies made it to book club. But I got to have a hot chocolate and talk about a book, so it's fine. I helped get AJ to sleep, and Matthew went to eat with some of his siblings.

10/29 I was up early to walk. It was a busy day with a few meetings and then the Ultradent Halloween party. Matthew brought AJ, and he had a great time as there was a lot of candy and a bounce house. I helped AJ with Ms. Debbie's. Matthew took him on a neighborhood drive. We did bed time.
10/30 I worked a half day. Matthew got groceries, so I came home and did cleaning. We stopped at PetCo for litter, got AJ, and had a rainy time at Cornbelly's with Brooke and Kennedy. We left about 4:30. I cleaned the pumpkins and set up for carving. Matthew made soup. We watched Harry Potter #1. I made pumpkin snickerdoodles. It was a lovely cozy evening.

10/31 AJ played on his own in the morning and came to get us at 7:40am. I started laundry and went to the gym. I got ready and stopped at Starbucks which was a disaster with their lobby closed and an insane drive thru, after I had already done a mobile order. We tried to go to MACU as my debit card isn't working anywhere, but it was insane there. We went to Valley Fair mall for a trunk or treat, but it was way too insane, both trying to get into the mall and the event itself. So we saw AJ's daycare lady and left. We came home, fed AJ, and got him down for a late nap before trick or treating. Matthew got a call to send a quote and pre-approval so that took a bit. We started Trick or Treating around 7pm and went for a long time. AJ got lots of candy. We did a late bed time which was the plan due to daylight savings time.
