Good The rallying. After losing my job, the number of coworkers who reached out to me via text or Instagram just to express their dismay was really kind. I felt the love and support so strongly. So many people came out of the woodwork to offer me connections and ideas. I love the way sharing hard and vulnerable moments allows others to support us; it really is an opportunity to connect.  Haircut. She went two inches shorter than I asked her to, and repeatedly emphasized the importance of the length. I am still not really used to it but feel like I am getting the hang of it, and at least it doesn't take as long to wash or brush, even if I do have to style it more often than I want to.  Severance. I did get one month of severance plus payout on my scheduled PTO, which my company doesn't normally do. While I wish I hadn't lost my job at all, I'm grateful I don't have to panic financially for a little bit.  Christmas decorations. We decorated on November 24. As I sit he...

11/1 I took the day off so I slept in a little bit. I did leg day. I did laundry. AJ and I went outside for a little bit before his nap. I cleaned during nap time. After nap I took AJ to Cornbelly's, and Matthew joined us after work. I did bath and bedtime solo since Matthew took his dog to Jim's house. I worked on the October blog post. 11/2 I was up at 6:30 to go on a cold walk. After showering I finished packing up AJ and myself. We left the house about 10 AM and drove a couple of hours to Arimo where we stopped to go potty. We finished the drive and got to Ammon where we got lunch at Jack-in-the-Box. We put AJ down for a nap at 2:30, but he took forever to fall asleep. So we woke him up at 4:00. After his nap we went to Walmart, the Cocoa Bean cupcake Café, and went to Marisa and TJ's Airbnb for pizza. We came back to the house and ate cupcakes. Good Weather. I really appreciated October weather this year. It was super mild and nice with a good amount of gloomy days. It did get a little cold in the last week. But really it was such a nice month. Colors. I try to notice. I don't always do a good job. But I love the colors of fall. Cornbelly's. What a fun month. We got to go to Cornbelly's three times in October and then on November 1 for the last time. I would've liked to go more, but the weather interfered in the last week. It was fun to see AJ do more and be into more things. I actually got to sit back and watch him a lot. Anytime he can run himself ragged while I watch is a good time. Disneyland. I am counting it as good even though it honestly felt harder than it felt fun. It was so crowded. The security to get in was frustrating. I don't know. It was fun to see AJ light up, but it was mostly over balloons and Mickey ears. Maybe it'll be better when we have to actually pay for his admission. But our ...
