April GBOMB

Good Easter. We made pretty eggs. AJ loved his basket. We ended up at my grandma's for dinner. It was a good day. And my boy is so big and handsome.  AJ's Birthday Party. We had so many friends come for AJ's party. Not very much family, sadly. But everyone loved the park we chose (Grandpa's Pond). The downside was AJ's behavior after the party. He was SO overstimulated and wiped out; he was being a monster. Matthew got him to take a nap, but he woke up from that still super grumpy. He eventually worked through it, but it definitely was a reminder about the reality of turning 4. A sense of calm/arrival. I have this feeling of deep gratitude and arrival and steadiness. Like this thing I've been wanting and uncertain whether it would happen has finally happened. We love our home and are still adjusting to the area; I don't know if I'll ever love Taylorsville like I loved Sandy. But I'm grateful to have what I feel like we've worked hard and waited f...

April in Review

4/1 I was up early for the gym. Work was pretty quiet. We watched the rocket launch in my coworker's office. I picked up AJ, got home, and made a Kevin's meal and quinoa. We chased AJ around all evening trying to feed him. I did dishes. We did bed time. I was in bed by 10, which is actually a big deal for me.  4/2 I got up at 6 and did cardio in the basement. I picked up donuts for work, and we had McDonald's lunch for my coworker's 10 year anniversary. I picked up AJ and handled the evening without Matthew since he was catering. After bathing AJ and getting him in bed, I watched Outlander and put music on my iPhone. 4/3 I woke up and walked on the treadmill. I did a half day at work. I got an oil change. I got groceries. I started cleaning and laundry. I picked up AJ and took him to get a hair cut. We went and got dinner at Panda Express, then got boba tea.
