My favorite jeans have a hole in them. I bought a new pair of the same kind, but they're just not the same. Dang it.

Good The rallying. After losing my job, the number of coworkers who reached out to me via text or Instagram just to express their dismay was really kind. I felt the love and support so strongly. So many people came out of the woodwork to offer me connections and ideas. I love the way sharing hard and vulnerable moments allows others to support us; it really is an opportunity to connect.  Haircut. She went two inches shorter than I asked her to, and repeatedly emphasized the importance of the length. I am still not really used to it but feel like I am getting the hang of it, and at least it doesn't take as long to wash or brush, even if I do have to style it more often than I want to.  Severance. Fact: As difficult as I know it will be, I'm yearning for a family and for motherhood right now. Fact: I miss all of my friends I used to celebrate Christmas with. We used to have a really fun time, and we were all really good at giving good gifts to each other. Fact: I love giving gifts. I consider it a talent of mine. But I only really enjoy it when I know people well and have put a lot of thought into something they'd enjoy. I have almost no one left outside of my family who I feel I can do that for. Fact: Someone stole my 3-hole puncher. Honestly? Why would you want to steal that? Fact: I was very mad at and mean to my students today. I feel bad. Fact: Almost no one came to Enrichment tonight. June in Review

June 1 I woke up around 6:30 and took AJ on a walk. We did breakfast and went grocery shopping. He was really fussy after that because he was tired. Matthew tried to put him down for a nap, but I ended up having to hold him until he fell asleep. It was a busy day of trying to pack up the house to get ready for the contractors on Monday. I did laundry and also cleaned out the bottom of the grill. We went to Joy Luck Chinese restaurant for dinner as a family and then the three of us went to the playground. We gave AJ a bath and did bedtime. Matthew went to the kitchen. I took a bath and wrote my GBOMB.  June 2 AJ and I went on a walk. I moved items from the pantry into my bedroom to get ready for the floors being done. I researched and did some measuring to get some shelves for our entryway closet. I took apart our table.
