August GBOMB

Good Therapy. I had a couple of therapy appointments in August, and I just love her questions and her observations. I wish it were in person, but I'll take what I can get, and am grateful my work covers 12 sessions.  AJ's safety and delight. On August 31, I saw a pattern before bed. AJ made endless bids for connection. I think we did a pretty good job honoring his requests although the list was endless. First it was, "Mom and dad, do you want to watch Jumanji?" Trying to pick a movie title we all like as a family. Then it was,  "Dad, let's do battling!" And it was, "Let's have a tickle party!" Then, "Mom, let's dance! Dad, come dance!" Then, "Can we snuggle in your bed?" This boy just had infinite ways he wanted to connect with his parents, and it made me so happy. And also so sad that this time is so fleeting.  Meet. August in Review

8/1 I got up with AJ and did some cleaning. I got to the gym about 9:15 and took a long time there for long rests. Deadlifts were a bit of a struggle but not because of pain. I rinsed off, and after getting in the car to go to the pool, I spilled my shake all over myself. We made it to the pool around 1pm and stayed till almost 3pm. I rinsed off the pool grossness. We just hung out and had a calm afternoon; AJ and I danced in the living room. That evening I killed more squash bugs in the garden. I cleaned the floors while bed time was going on.  8/2 I hung out in bed until about 7:30 while Matthew hung out with AJ. I started some laundry and went on a walk. I did lots of cleaning and tidying, like lint rolling and washing the couch covers. I had tutoring at 11:30 at my house, and then Little Caes for lunch with them afterward.
