LMAO!!! Not only do I share your day from hell sentiments (and just FYI... tomorrow will be worse!), but I share your... ummm... like... for this guy! I sure thought his voice reminded me of the lead singer from Pearl Jam.
Good Visiting Matthew's brother. We went on August 3 to visit Matthew's brother down in Monroe. It was a haul to get down there, but it was good to finally see their place and spend some time there. AJ loved it and ran himself ragged. We didn't get to go to the hot spring like we planned since it was so hot out. But still was a good time seeing family. Teaching ESL. I cannot even begin to explain. I wrote a post about it on my LinkedIn. I've had so much good feedback, from my manager, from my coworker, and from the students themselves. It has been such a great experience so far, and I feel so lucky to get to do it. My classroom Growth. It is SO FUN to take pictures of seedlings at the beginning of the month and see where they are at the end of the month. I planted perennials in the front yard, and they're so much bigger now. I love watching my carrot and lettuce seedlings come up. It is so exciting. Babies coming up at the start of the month End of the month, so ...
Good California and the beach. I stubbornly insisted on a beach trip during our California trip over the 4th of July weekend. There was a lot of noise in my ear about traffic and crowds. Two jalapenos are coming in, and I’ve attempted another round of squash that has brought up seedlings already. We will see. I’m excited to get some things planted for fall harvest – spinach, lettuce, and carrots. The tomatoes are now bending over the tops of the cages Freebies. Our company has a "swap shop" online, and s...
*I have had a couple of friends say they've sent my post to several women, and saying I should get paid for this post 😆 Honestly, I just want other moms to have a better experience than I had. Sifting through all the info in the newborn fog was SO hard. So I'm genuinely happy to compile all this and update it periodically if it will help anyone have a better experience than I had. BUT if you found this helpful at all and would like to buy me a coffee, my Venmo is @janaeandmatthew (thank you!). Don't feel obligated. This post exists for free on my personal page for a reason. Thanks for reading and thanks for sharing!* So, you're either here because you know my breastfeeding struggle the last 15 weeks, because you're expecting and I want you to be more prepared than I was, or because you are trying to see if you've missed anything worth trying in your own struggle. Let me just say right off the bat that we all have different capacities. We all have different le...
