Toilet Seat Covers

My next activist venture will be to increase the strictness of Utah's sanitation laws, or lack thereof.

In every bathroom in California, there are toilet seat covers--except in poor middle school restrooms. But really--they're everywhere and you never have to think twice about it.

In Utah, I've gotten used to lining the toilet seat with toilet paper because there are toilet seat covers in maybe 5% of bathrooms.

I arrived at the airport in California today and went to use the restroom. I automatically started putting down toilet paper on the seat even though there were toilet seat covers.

I let out a sigh upon my realization of how Utah-trained I am.

Man, it's time to come home. And then get a legislator to require toilet seat covers in Utah.

The worst for me is when a restroom does offer covers, but the box is empty. At that point, the empty box of toilet seat covers represents my crushed hopes.
